This island has many activities for everyone to enjoy, especially visitors who are twenty-one and up and those wanting to spend a relaxed and fun time with their special someone. 1.) Sunrise and Sunset

The first best thing to do in Key West, is to watch the sunrise and the sunset. On Key West, you can watch both within the same day. You can watch a gorgeous sunrise in the morning on the east side of the island, then head down to the west side, near downtown, to watch the sunset in the evening. One of the easiest ways to accomplish watching both is to stay on the east side of Key West, then go to the downtown area, on the west side, to watch the sunset while eating dinner or enjoying entertainment. A couple places that are the best to watch the sunset are Mallory Square and Hot Tin Roof. The Sebago Sunset Cruise, called the Champagne Sunset Sail by Sebago, is also a great place to watch the sunset. There is even an open bar on this boat, with wine, beer, and champagne, for those who are twenty-one and above.

2.) Drinking - Bars/Restaurants

If you're twenty-one and up, you're most likely going to want to drink, so the number two best thing on this list to do, is to go visit the best and intriguing bars and restaurants in Key West. There are lots of bars and restaurants to check out, and many are located along Duval Street in the downtown area. Some bars/restaurants that are located on Duval that are definitely worth checking out are the World's Smallest Bar or Smallest Bar - a place that is small like a garage with only four stools but has a large selection of alcohol, Fat Tuesdays and The Flying Monkey - very fun and popular places that have multiple frozen island drinks to choose from, and Rick's Bar - a place that has great drinks at reasonable prices. Other great bars/restaurants, that are worth stepping into are off the beaten path of Duval Street. Rum Barrel Restaurant and Bar is a cool place to check out with great drinks and a pirate-like atmosphere. The Commodore Waterfront Restaurant and Alonzo's Oyster Bar, not only have great drinks but, also have great food for lunch and dinner.

3.) Water Adventures

Number three on the list is exploring and having some fun in the sun through water adventures. There are a number of places that offer water activities in Key West. Some places offer certain activities and others offer a variety. Fury is one that most often offers activities singularly, including parasailing. Sebago Water Sports is one that offers a variety in a form of a Water Power Adventure - an adventure where you can do many different water activities within six hours. The types of activities that are included are snorkeling, parasailing, jet skiing, water trampoline, banana boat rides, kayaking, stand up paddling and a water slide. They also give breakfast and lunch, and if you're twenty-one and above, an open bar with beer and wine; all included in one price. Choosing an activity with either of these companies is a great, enjoyable experience.

4.) Romantic Get-Away Date Nights

Next on the list at number four of the best things to do, especially if you're with your significant other, are romantic get-away date nights. There are several places you can visit to have a romantic night out. One of the best romantic places is the restaurant, Hot Tin Roof located in the Ocean Key Resort. It's an excellent restaurant to have a romantic dinner while watching the sunset. The Sunset Pier, located in the same area but on the water below the restaurant, has live music and is a bar where you can drink and dance the night away. The live music from the Sunset Pier can be heard throughout the Hot Tin Roof restaurant, which adds to the romantic atmosphere of the area.

5.) Shopping and Entertainment/Comedy Club

The last best thing to do that is on this list, is the activities of shopping and entertainment. Mallory Square offers many shopping choices in the form of street vendors and some shops with an array of different items from jewelry to handmade items. Entertainment is also popular in Mallory Square with intriguing street performers from musicians to magicians. Duval Street is another hot area to find shopping and entertainment. There are many great small boutique stores and bars with live music along Duval. Steel Horse Saloon on Duval is one of the bars/restaurants most noted for live music. If you are there at a lucky time, there is also a comedy club hosted at Steel Horse Saloon.
